Pizza hut

This Pizza Hut shut last year, becoming another casualty of the declining high street. Once a busy spot for families and casual dining, it now sits closed and unused.

The building is currently in amazing condition, with the interior still well preserved and largely untouched — a rare sight for a modern closure like this. Unfortunately, it’s only a matter of time before kids inevitably try to force entry and start ruining what’s left, as happens with so many sites like this.

The closure is believed to be down to falling footfall, rising rent, and increasing operating costs, with the shift toward deliveries and takeaway playing a major role. Dine-in chain restaurants have struggled to keep up with changing habits.

As for the future, nothing has been confirmed. Whether the site will reopen under a new brand, be repurposed, or eventually redeveloped remains unclear. For now, it remains frozen in time — but likely not for long.
