The Invincible, located at 6 Wickham Street, Portsmouth, was a traditional pub named after HMS Invincible, reflecting the city’s naval heritage. It closed on 2 September 2018 and was officially marked as closed long-term on 13 October 2018 . Plans were approved to demolish the disused pub and replace it with a 12-storey ‘co-living’ accommodation block comprising 76 individual bedspaces with shared communal facilities, including a gymnasium, kitchens, laundry, and residents’ lounges . As of the latest available information, the building has been stripped out in preparation for redevelopment, but demolition has not yet commenced.
