The Grosvenor Casino on Osborne Road in Southsea, Portsmouth, once thrived as a venue for gaming and entertainment. It closed on August 9, 2015, marking the end of its long history. Originally, this building had a unique past. In the 1960s, it functioned as the Playboy Club before transforming into Kimbells, Soames Sporting Club, and Soames.
After its closure as a casino, the building remained abandoned. The upper floors, which once hosted a ballroom and function rooms, stayed unused after 2002. Meanwhile, the ground floor continued to operate as a casino until 2015. The building’s abandonment left it as a relic of Portsmouth’s history.
