Oita Fleet: Baien, Banri, & Tanso

  • Length: 25 meters (extended hull for extra cabin space)
  • Passenger Capacity: ~80
  • Payload: 12 tonnes
  • Engines: 2 × MAN D2862 diesel engines
  • Top Speed: ~45 knots
  • Design Enhancements:
    • Barrier-free access for improved accessibility
    • Weight-optimized propeller ducts
    • Improved side-thrust system for enhanced low-speed maneuverability—ideal for tight dockings and crosswind conditions in coastal Japan
  • Service: Connects Oita Airport (Kunisaki) to Oita City
  • Fleet Names: Named after influential Edo-period scholars from the Oita region
